Nutrition/Malnutrition
Is meaning to me because I have always had a concern about malnutrition and how people come to this point
into  their lives.  Now  that everybody is on this healthy eating  habit I thought this would be a good topic to write on.

In Bangul, Central Africa Republic the recent political upheaval has affected this community.  Several months before the Coup came to help they were living below poverty line.  The economy has collapsed tens of thousands of people have fled due to on going violence. Those who remained are living in fear and struggling
to make ends meet.  they eat what they can find.  Sometimes that means they do not eat anything all day.
The Capital has limited resourses due to the economy collapsed . It is becoming increasingly difficult for the people to buy items because they do not have the money.

I learned that no matter how bad you think you have it. Somebody else is worst that you.

  1. I too chose to write on Malnutrition. I can understand why people might not have enough food to eat or not get the right nutrients that may lead to malnutrition. For my grandfather who died from malnutrition, it was not a lack of food but a swallowing problem. He started loosing lots of weight over a few months. We came to realize it was because he was having trouble swallowing. We tried to get to the source of the problem but was only going from one doctor to the next to be told every thing was okay. He would then be referred to another doctor. He finally ended up at UNC hospital to have more test done, which was the hardest two tests I have ever had to witness a love one going through. They came back and diagnosed him with neuropathy and said it was due to malnutrition. We admitted him to the hospital and he went to a hospice house after that. My advice would be not to wait too long on a doctor to find out what is causing a problem. My grandpas doctor kept dropping the ball and it was us who kept getting him appointments with different doctors.
